Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb. ground beef or turkey (lean or extra lean)
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
- 1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 cups broth (chicken or vegetable)
- 2 cups water
- 14 oz fusilli pasta
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Heat a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil, ground beef, onions, and garlic. Season with the salt and pepper and sauté for 5 -7 minutes.
